About the Project

Sanvik is an Israeli company that provides design and installation services for fire extinguishing systems.

Business Goal

Enhance the transition from browsing to service inquiry submission to boost revenue for the service-oriented website.

Important information

The owner has shared data indicating that 70% of visitors browse an average of 5 service pages but leave the site without submitting any inquiries or contact forms.

The owner’s hypothesis is that the website may not effectively communicate the value of the services offered or lacks compelling calls-to-action to encourage user engagement.

The Process

Problem Statement

Sanvik’s website faces a high drop-off rate, most of the visitors leaving without submitting inquiries or contact forms. This lack of conversions is impacting the company’s revenue growth.

Pain Points

01

Lack of Clear Communication

Users may find that the website does not effectively communicate the value and benefits of Sanvik’s fire extinguishing systems services.

02

Uncompelling Calls-to-Action

The current calls-to-action may not be persuasive or visible enough to encourage users to engage and submit inquiries.

03

Usability Issues

Users might be experiencing difficulties navigating the website, leading to frustration and abandonment.

04

Information Overload or Gaps

Potential customers might be overwhelmed with too much information or unable to find specific details they need, hindering their decision-making process.

The old UI: Its cluttered layout and lack of clear navigation may have contributed to user confusion and difficulties in finding relevant information.

Research

I checked top competitors and researched our target audience

To meet our objectives, I chose to research our target audience and examine the leading competitors in the fire extinguishing systems sector. I identified and analyzed the most successful companies in this industry. Additionally, I utilized various resources, including the internet and social media, to further investigate both the competitors and our target audience.

Ideate

Based on my research and insights from the Product Manager, I developed Roy as a User Persona. He represents my target audience’s motivations, frustrations, needs, and goals during task completion.

Roy, 42

Roy integrates fire safety systems into new projects and ensures regulatory compliance. He needs detailed information quickly to make informed decisions and coordinate efficiently with service providers. Disorganized websites frustrate him; he requires clear, accessible contact information to streamline his work.

Design

Turn ideas into sketches

During the wireframes design phase, I redesigned a website offering fire extinguishing systems planning and installation services. The previous site’s disorganization and unclear layout led to decreased user engagement and fewer leads.

Using insights from research and personas, I redesigned the site for clarity and ease of use. Now, it features intuitive navigation and prominently displayed contact details, facilitating efficient communication with customers.

Final Design

Minimalist and modern user interface

I wrapped up the project by designing the user interfaces for both the web app and mobile. I focused on keeping things minimalist to help users stay focused.

Flexibility across all devices

Sanvik provides comprehensive fire safety solutions with just a few clicks, anywhere and anytime.
